Fortis Facility Data

Altalis is proud to be the authorized distributor of FortisAlberta's comprehensive electrical facility data. This partnership gives our customers direct access to information about the electrical infrastructure that powers much of Alberta.

Key Components of FortisAlberta Facility Data:

This dataset is delivered as four distinct GIS layers, each with detailed attributes:

  • Poles: Location, ownership, installation date, height, type, class, etc. This layer provides a comprehensive inventory of the poles that support distribution lines.
  • Conductors: Details about the lines, including voltage, phase, length, and ownership. This information is vital for understanding the capacity and configuration of the electrical network.
  • Streetlights: This layer provides location and ownership information for streetlights within the service territory. It is valuable for urban planning, maintenance, and public safety applications.
  • Service Territory: A clear definition of service area boundaries. This layer is essential for understanding the geographic extent of their electrical distribution network.
